First Reconciliation (First Confessions) For Children 

First of all 

• • The child is 7 years and 9 months old, or older
• • The child has been baptised.
• • One parent is Catholic
• • Both parents are agreeable to the child proceeding with this sacrament.

• If you live in one of the adjoining parishes, please obtain permission from the parish priest before you enroll in the Stella Maris parish programme 

How Children are Prepared

• A parent attends one Information Night.   Monday13th February2012           7-8.15pm
•                                                                   Monday 12th March 2012              7-8.15pm 
•                                                                   Monday 14th May 2012                7-8.15pm
•                                                                   Monday 20th August 2012             7-8.15pm
•                                                                
• Children do not attend this meeting. It is held at the Stella Maris Church  Baden Powell St

         At the Information Night parents will be given a request form that they take home and think about the commitment that is required of families. Parents will then fill out the Request Form and bring it to the parish office to receive the resources needed for the preparation for Reconciliation.

Parents will work at home with their child with a workbook supplied by the parish.

Ths child will then accompany their parent/parents to one of the dates below to received the sacrament.
